Attends staff meetings and other meetings as needed. Ensures compliance with all facility policies and procedures and all regulatory and governing body standards and regulations. Staff Development: Provides professional development rounds with intention of identifying key areas for development on infusion staff. Coordinates with the Nurse Manager/Director the development of personnel to include recruitment, retention, competency development and deployment and professional development activities Works with Clinical Practice to deploy training and competencies for onboarding and ongoing education to facilitate expert level knowledge of research infusion nurses Systematically and continuously evaluates staff learning needs utilizing competency-based criteria. Training and Education: Coordinates with the Nurse Manager/Director to assure staff compliance with mandatory education, licensure requirements, continuing education and applicable certifications and professional practice standards; maintains documentation of hospital required licensures and certifications for staff as assigned. Identify priority areas, organize and assist with the development of research educational programs and in-services for staff. Engages clinical research staff participation in planning and meeting educational needs of research staff. Works collaboratively with the research team and principal investigator in planning, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of research protocol specific education as needed. Provides ongoing assessment of learning needs through direct observation, formal needs assessment, and research program evaluation Quality: Develops programs with a focus on quality outcomes, nursing care and Process Improvement.
