Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse for the Behavioral Research and Training Institute (BRTI) within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Nurse position is to serve as an expert in the advanced nursing care. The APN functions collaboratively with physician of protocol for prescriptive practice and works collaboratively within the treatment team to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and assessment services. The APN demonstrates competency according to the American Nurses Association Advanced Practice Standards and credentialing body. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Engages in collaborative practice with the physician of protocol for prescriptive practice. Takes initial history, prepares psychosocial evaluation and treatment plans, including management of risk. Assesses and monitors physical health needs of individuals served. Provides advanced practice nursing care to individuals served presenting with acute problems, managing therapeutic regimes according to protocols. The salary range for the role is $64.2353 - $64.2353 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
