Job Title: Registered Nurse Navigator Breast Imaging DEPARTENT: Imaging Location: Rochester General Hospital Medical Office Building (1425 Portland Avenue) Hours Per Week: 0 Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm SUMMARY: The Breast Imaging Navigator will work within a medical interdisciplinary team to provide proactive case coordination, navigation, and education for patients in need of breast care treatment, including case management, utilization management and resource management for advanced imaging studies. The Breast Imaging Navigator will work under the direction of the radiologist and collaborate with the breast care center, oncology and referring providers to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary breast care for the patient and family. The breast-imaging navigator follows health system policies and procedures, and assists with continually improving the quality and effectiveness of image case management and patient navigation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as patient navigator for breast imaging patients to include mammography, breast MRI’s, breast ultrasounds, biopsies/procedures, and follow up care.
