As a Research Nurse Coordinator in Rheumatology, you will help advance innovative clinical research by coordinating and managing human subject research studies from start-up through completion. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, sponsors, and research partners while coordinating disease-specific clinical trials and supporting a growing CAR-T research portfolio. Responsibilities also include participant recruitment and consent, specimen collection and processing for the biorepository, administration of study-related injections and infusions, communication with sponsors, and working alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful study execution and compliance with regulatory requirements. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (flexible start/end times) A caregiver who excels in this role will: Coordinate the implementation and conduct of research projects, ensuring adherence to research protocol requirements and timely completion. Complete and communicate regulatory documents, develop data and monitoring plans, report Serious Adverse Events as they occur, and complete FDA and sponsor forms. Serve as a liaison between investigators, research personnel, outside study personnel, and central research administration offices to assist in protocol interpretation, enrollment, and safety questions. Assess research subjects, complete nursing assessments, document findings in research subject records, and notify the physician of abnormal findings. Establish a care plan in collaboration with the research subject, family, and research team, and coordinate ongoing care. Identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning as appropriate. Perform telephone triage, nursing procedures, and treatments. Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care consistent with CCHS policies and procedures. Assist with specialized patient care equipment as required by the clinical research protocol. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or licensed independent provider (LIP). Direct, coordinate, and participate in the evaluation and supervision of nursing care provided to research subjects, establishing patient care priorities and delegating nursing activities according to patient needs and staff capabilities. Participate in education, research and performance improvement activities. Develop and maintain knowledge of research protocol to coordinate the comprehensive and compliant execution of assigned protocols. Assist with preparation for audits and response to audits. Maintain professional relationships, including frequent and open effective communication with internal and external constituents. Assist with the development of training and educational material for assigned research protocols. Provide and document education as needed. Conduct and document the informed consent process. Inpatient Trauma & Trauma/Surgical ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Position Overview: Inpatient Trauma/Trauma & Surgical ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers direct patient care consistent with the APP’s education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with the attending Trauma Surgery physicians. This includes a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced, evidence-based care to critically ill patients . The APP will be expected to have a thorough u nderstanding of trauma care and management, including advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute and critically ill patients. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Trauma attending physicians, general surgery residents, and APPs to complete daily rounds on the trauma and surgical floors and in the intensive care unit (ICU). Collecting data and interpreting laboratory and imaging results in developing and document assessments and care plans. Working collaboratively with surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams, the APP manages complex postoperative and medically fragile patients across a wide range of surgical specialties, including trauma, acute care surgery, transplant, vascular, and general surgery. Perform bedside procedures for both surgical and non-surgical patients Work with the team to complete timely documentation and carry out care plans effectively. Partner with Trauma APPs, Trauma attendings, surgical residents, nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapies, social work and case management to develop disposition plans with a multidisciplinary team approach. Respond to trauma cases in the resuscitation bay, perform trauma survey assessments, and stabilize high-acuity patients in accordance with Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) guidelines.
