Overview #LI-jh1 Will consider LVN or RN Summary: Provides respiratory nursing and related services for patients while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of nursing and within Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Provides quality patient care including screening and assessments of patients, development of initial and ongoing treatment plans of care, discharge plan and case management responsibilities. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Administer and manage respiratory nurse treatments, including CPAP/BiPAP, incentive spirometry, breathing techniques/exercises, oxygen, etc, according to established protocols. Provide complex pulmonary care, including vest therapy, cough assist, suctioning, and nebulizer treatments, to enhance resident comfort and pulmonary function. Conduct respiratory nurse assessments, monitor resident status, and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings and physician directives. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on respiratory techniques, equipment uses, and safety protocols. Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory nursing equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
