Essential Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders. Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to physicians and family members. Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation within the electronic medical record. Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards. Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition. Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges. Collaborate with rehabilitation, dietary, social services, and other departments to ensure comprehensive resident care. Educate residents, families, and staff regarding care plans and health conditions. Maintain compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations and facility policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs. Qualifications Required: Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current CPR/BLS Certification. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Preferred: Long-term care or skilled nursing experience. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Knowledge of CMS regulations and quality measures. Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date.
