The Flex RN must comply with all license, certification, and training requirements required in those units. The Flex RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The Flex RN may also be required to operate in emergency response role as Rapid Response Team. Responsibilities The Flex RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Nursing Unit Manager Job Summary Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the unit assigned, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with current applicable federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff, making appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or necessary. Overview Job Duties An Advanced Practice Provider IV (APP IV) is a direct patient care provider licensed in the State of Florida and/or Georgia and provides medical services to patients as defined by their scope of practice and under the supervision of a physician licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida/Georgia. Clinical Area: Provides care primarily in the inpatient and/or critical care, Labor & Delivery and/or emergency department settings; > 50% inpatient hospital-based setting . Responsibilities Essential Functions • Performs or assist with procedures of higher complexity in office, inpatient unit, operating room, or emergency department. May perform first assist functions in the operating room setting. Call coverage may be required specific to departmental needs • Actively participates in meetings, functions, events, and committees, as well as in a team of interdisciplinary health care providers • Will directly care for patients with all types of neuroendovascular pathology including acute strokes, SAH…in both critical care and outpatient setting • Opportunity to scrub in/first assist in Neuroendovascular procedures. • Monitoring or management of medical/ invasive devices and placement of devices within scope of practice. May manage care of Pre-/ post- operative and pre-/ post- procedure patients. • Conducts high level evaluation and triage specific to the specialty/ subspecialty including patient histories, performs physical examinations and/or diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, differential diagnoses, ordering of ancillary studies, medical decision making, treatment and stabilization. • Formulates comprehensive health management plans for patients in collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical professionals to include progress notes, narrative discharge summaries, consults, etc. Facilitates patient participation in making health care decisions. • Contributes to the development, implementation, and expansion of programs and initiatives, including participation in research activities, quality improvement projects, etc., as appropriate. Participates in professional development opportunities and introduces innovation in practice where applicable. • Enters pertinent clinical information in the patient’s medical record in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with established compliance billing guidelines. The Discharge Nurse prepares patients and caregivers for a safe transition from inpatient rehabilitation. The role coordinates discharge readiness, medication education, clinical follow-up needs, and communication across the interdisciplinary team to reduce avoidable complications and support a consistent discharge experience. Job Responsibilities: Assess discharge readiness 72 to 96 hours before planned discharge and identify unresolved education, caregiver-training, or clinical needs. Provide and coordinate education on medications, treatments, precautions, and condition-specific care needs. Engage specialty clinicians for wound, respiratory, infection-prevention, pharmacy, and other focused education. Review medications, instructions, warning signs, follow-up plans, and questions with patients and caregivers on the day of discharge. Escalate unresolved clinical or coordination concerns to the appropriate team member. Reconcile discharge medications, confirm patient understanding, and address pharmacy, insurance, prior-authorization, or formulary barriers. Review discharge instructions and follow-up needs, including appointments, precautions, equipment, home services, and ongoing treatment. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, bedside nurses, therapists, pharmacists, and community providers to resolve barriers. Participate in team huddles, conferences, and discharge planning rounds as assigned. Maintain accurate documentation and support monitoring of discharge-readiness, patient-experience, medication, and readmission outcomes. Participate in efforts to standardize and improve discharge and care-transition processes. Job Qualifications Requirements: Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum three years of clinical nursing experience. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, medical-surgical nursing, care coordination, or case management. Strong knowledge of medication management and patient education principles. Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Preferred Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN). Experience with discharge planning, care transitions, or population health. Experience working with interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Knowledge of Medicare, CMS, and IRF regulatory requirements. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served. Qualifications Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: Associate's Degree Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position.
