Additional Perks & Benefits - Scroll down to bottom of this post to learn more Key Responsibilities: - Perform all appropriate nursing assessments per service line requirements, utilizing a high level of clinical competence. - Evaluate the client/patient’s physical condition and the need for services. - Complete required screenings, record the client/patient’s initial medical histories and vital signs; coordinate any required action planning based on results. - Monitor the health status of the client/patient during services provided. - Work with the treatment team to coordinate care based on client/patient needs. - Create action plans for client/patient based on physical and mental health in regards to treatment needs. - Oversee infectious disease control, client/patient hygiene, and related client & facility health issues, under the supervision of nursing leadership. - Provide disease prevention, risk reduction, and other health education as needed. - Arrange medical appointments for client/patients dealing with medical conditions that occur during treatment and manage medical emergencies, such as accidental injuries and/or drug reactions. - Consult with a physician/advanced practice provider as necessary or advocate for medical services through managed care organizations. - Arrange or monitor special dietary needs for medical conditions. - Review medication requirements with clients/patients, educating the client and guardian (if necessary) about the benefits of taking prescribed medications as prescribed. - Administer and oversee administration of medications via various methods according to service line requirements; Monitor medication compliance in regard to State Regulatory standards. - Consult with the physician/advanced practice provider or pharmacy to confirm medications prescribed. - Oversee therapeutic injection of medication (subcutaneous or intramuscular). - Monitor lab levels including consultation with physicians/advanced practice providers, clients, and clinical staff. - Coordinate medication needs with pharmacies, clients/patients, and families, including the use of indigent drug programs. - Monitor medication side effects including the use of standardized evaluations. - Monitor physician orders for treatment modifications requiring client/patient education. - Assist Physician/Advanced Practice Provider with client/patient exams. - Set up and draw any necessary labs and perform any special procedures as requested by the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider. - Complete all required documentation in a timely manner as indicated in company policies and procedures. - Demonstrate interest in long-term and short-term goals and objectives of the company. - Other duties as assigned by program leadership. Experience and/or Education Qualifications: - Current RN (Registered Nurse) license in Missouri. - Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in Missouri. Employment Requirements: - Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check. - Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment. - All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter. - Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance. Job Summary: A licensed practical nurse within a clinic setting is responsible for the application of professional nursing skills by observing/monitoring patient health, assisting in procedures, providing treatments, administering medications, and educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. This role involves direct patient care, working with all members of the healthcare team to ensure quality of care is provided to all patients. LPN-Clinic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited practical nursing school program required. Current LPN Licensure with Arkansas State Board of Nursing required. Technical Diploma: Practical Nursing required. Associate Degree in Practical Nursing preferred. BLS required upon hire or obtain prior to patient care Basic computer, phone, email, and business office equipment knowledge Is eager to learn and is willing to take instruction and feedback. Good communication skills, both verbal and written Able to multi-task Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment Able to listen actively and convey information in a stressful situation with tact and compassion Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. 1-year experience working in the clinic setting for which applicant has applied nurse would be assigned or 2 plus years-experience in nurse role in any healthcare setting preferred. Experience using an electronic health record preferred. Exercise independent judgement and problem solve preferred. Strong attention to detail, analytical and time management skills preferred. Strong work ethic preferred.
