After consultation with provider, reinforces education and health information with parent/guardian/patient. Answers a variety of medical questions or refers them to the doctor or nurse practitioner when necessary. Secure all exam rooms, lab rooms; restock with supplies on a daily basis. Retrieve special orders from Lab and Xray when provider requests. Demonstrate the ability to follow appropriate procedures/production techniques related to the care of patients from newborn - 20 years. Assists Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners by documenting health related data such as, height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure, urine and chief complaint. Is responsible to provide lead screens and immunizations on well child visits. Maintain updated immunization usage on a monthly basis for State of Connecticut. Licensed Practical Nurse Education And Experience Requirements High School Diploma Required - College Course Preferred. Licensed Practical Nurse Degree Required.
