Essential Functions • Prepares patients for provider visits by obtaining vitals, health histories, and addressing best practice alerts. • Gathers and documents health data through assessments and specimen collection, performing phlebotomy and in-clinic lab testing as required. • Provides and documents basic patient care, treatments, and prescribed interventions according to guidelines and regulations. • Administers medications safely, monitors patient responses, and demonstrates knowledge of medication actions, dosages, and side effects. • Assists medical staff with examinations, procedures, and treatments, and transcribes physician orders accurately. • Performs patient triage, schedules appointments, and coordinates referrals, admissions, and diagnostic testing with required preauthorizations. • Educates patients and families, assesses learning needs, and evaluates understanding of care and treatment. • Maintains accurate, timely medical records and manages nursing in-basket responsibilities, including registration and customer service tasks. • Leads and supports daily team operations, fosters collaboration, participates in improvement initiatives, and models flexibility and efficiency. • Performs other duties as assigned.
