Communicates respectfully and collaboratively with physicians, staff, peers, and leadership. Coordinates emergency responses, including Code Yellow, Code Blue, and power outages. Resource Management & Collaboration Reviews and adjusts staffing assignments daily, ensuring appropriate staff mix and coverage. Works with Surgical Specialists, Team Leaders, and leadership to identify opportunities for standardization and cost‑effective supply and equipment utilization. Quality, Patient Safety & Experience Reports near misses, adverse events, and patient/family complaints promptly. Conducts proactive rounding in pre‑op and post‑op areas to identify improvement opportunities. Delegates and assigns care activities to nurses, nursing care technicians, and unit secretaries within regulatory guidelines. Ensures adherence to infection prevention protocols. Manages patient delays efficiently and appropriately. Initiates service recovery when needed. Utilizes patient satisfaction data to support action plan development. Promotes patient‑centered practices and holds staff accountable to satisfaction and quality goals. Collaborates with the Nurse Liaison to enhance patient and family experience. Team Leadership & Staff Development Participates in competency assessments. Evaluates orientees and provides feedback to Clinical Managers and Assistant Clinical Managers.
