Assist with new admissions, re-admissions and assist with the transfer of Guests to different rooms within the assigned unit. Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned. Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts. Any noted opportunities for improvement will be shared with leadership in the organization. Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success. Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings. Participate in compliance trainings as scheduled and adhere to compliance plan. Supervisory Responsibility This position directly supervises all Nursing staff on the assigned unit including but not limited to R.N’s, L.P.N’s and C.N.A’s. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping on a regular basis. The employee must be able to lift and move items and patients weighing at least 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This position is part of a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required. Required Education and Experience Graduate from and accredited nursing program. Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (R.N.) License in the state of practice. C.P.R. Certified 2 years R.N. experience Preferred Education and Experience 5 years R.N. experience.
