A Day in the Life of a Robin Run QMA As a Qualified Medication Aide, you are a vital link in our residents' health and happiness. Your day will include: Medication Management: Safely administering medications and supervising residents who self-administer. Accurate Records: Maintaining timely and precise daily records in accordance with company policy. Safety & Organization: Keeping the medicine supply room pristine and organized. Accountability: Completing accurate accounting of all medications, including controlled substances, to ensure resident safety. What You’ll Need to Succeed Education: High school diploma or GED. Certification: Valid Indiana QMA certification (current and in good standing). Experience: 1–2 months of related clinical experience is preferred, but a passion for senior care is a must! Monitor vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs). Provide emotional support to patients and families. Educate patients and families about health care maintenance. Observe and report changes in patient's condition to the supervising nurse. Assist with geriatric care needs. Qualifications: Must be certified as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) by the state Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property. Skilled at tackling numerous tasks and makes quick decisions. Can foster good resident and family relationships. Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment. A passion for working with elderly residents. Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility a plus but not required.
