Description: The Surgical APP provides patient care in collaboration with specific surgeons face-to-face or via telehealth on communication devices such as phone or computer. Conducts surgical history/physical exams, orders and interprets diagnostic/lab tests and develops plan of care. Writes prescriptions, controlled substances per Delineation of Privileges. First assists in surgery. Performs surgical procedures in the operating room under the direct supervision of the surgeon. Performs procedures in the clinic under direct or indirect supervision. The APP has synergistic relationship with the surgeon and highly technical skills increases patient safety and positive surgical outcomes. Enables the continuity of care by managing patients in the pre, intra and post operative settings. Performs inpatient rounding, consultations, wound care and bedside procedures. In the outpatient setting, manages clinics, clinic procedures, facilitates family and patient education, and participates in grand rounds. Works directly with staff, administration, patients and families to ensure quality care across the continuum as an expert in surgical practice areas. Performs on-call coverage requiring high-level decision making on weekdays, weeknights, and weekends inclusive of surgery. Estimated salary range for this position is $126148.63 - $163993.22 / year depending on experience. Qualifications: Qualified Surgical APRNs will require: Masters Degree, Valid Florida APRN License, Nurse Practitioner National certification, DEA License, BLS Certification, RNFA Registered Nurse First Assist Certification, 3 years of relevant nursing experience required. PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies. Description Job Summary The ED Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship is designed to provide post-graduate, on the job training to prepare the APP fellows for successful practice in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Exposed to a variety of clinical rotations, APP fellows will refine critical thinking, diagnostic, and clinical skills necessary for managing complex medical situations and for providing safe, efficient and effective care to pediatric patients in the emergency department. The APP fellowship provides an opportunity for the licensed APP to receive twelve (12) months of intensive clinical training that uses a multidisciplinary approach to prepare clinicians to step into the challenging and fast paced role of an Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider. Grounded in rigorous didactic curriculum, this intensive training program will offer hands on structured clinical rotations in hospital medicine and designated specialties.
