CNM will be responsible for interpreting fetal heart rate tracings, performing rupture of membranes and placement of internal monitors if necessary. CNM may also assist during caesarian sections or be involved in vaginal deliveries. CNM will assist with postpartum care and education as well as discharge planning. OB TRIAGE Evaluate and treat pregnant patients who present in OB triage, this includes but is not limited to monitoring for labor, reading and interpreting NST’s, diagnosing and managing common pregnancy conditions OB/GYN OFFICE CNM may need to help cover in the office seeing prenatal and postpartum patients as needed Job Qualifications EDUCATION: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: Certified Nurse Midwife must have a Master’s or Doctorate degree from a Nurse Midwifery accredited program. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2 – 3 years of Certified Nurse Midwife experience preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: The APP demonstrates the knowledge, abilities, and skills to provide culturally specific patient care and education. The APP effectively communicates with peers, utilizes appropriate channels of communication and maintains confidentiality. The APP demonstrates evidence of continuing professional growth. The APP demonstrates the ability to accept and implement change and the ability to work in a culturally diverse setting. LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Nurse Midwife certification as verified by the American Midwifery Certification Board or other accredited certification body. Current valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state. BLS certified. ACLS and PALS as dictated by the Delineation of privileges. Standard Care Arrangement with collaborating physician for Ohio or applicable state Membership in professional organization is desirable.
