Physician Assistant Assist the collaborating physician in coordinating patient admissions and discharges. Conduct patient rounds to monitor progress and assess overall health status. Perform or order appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures, and formulate differential diagnoses as indicated. Manage cases by identifying individual patient needs based on collected data and implementing physician-directed treatment plans, which may include both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Prescribe medications and treatments as authorized under the Medical Practice Act, Chapter 157. Qualifications Nurse Practitioner Education and Training: Master’s degree with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification from an accredited program. Current Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state where hospital resides. Current ACLS and Healthcare Provider/BLS certifications required. Current national certification with an accredited testing organization.
