Req And Master's Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program Req Experience 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner; At least 1 year GI Nurse Practitioner experience preferred Licenses And Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And APRN - Advanced Practice Nurse Upon Hire Req And NP - Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Req And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 30 Days Pref. Other must be credentialed by Medical Staff Services Upon Hire Req Here’s What You Will Do Utilize principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic Use principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings Synthesize knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care Initiate actions to meet patients/families’ needs Take actions to reduce patients risks Perform specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently Produce documentation that initiates, follows, and revises patients' plan of care Focus on adherence to clinical pathways, protocols, and policies to ensure high reliability of clinical program Promote population health through the evaluation of care delivery models as they pertain to community, environmental, cultural, and socio-economical dimensions of health. Description UNCHMG Neonatology at Lenoir in partnership with UNC Health Lenoir , located in Kinston, NC, are currently seeking certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to work fulltime at our Level 1 Nursery. We also have opportunities for Per Diem. You will be part of a highly educated and trained team of physicians (pediatricians and consulting neonatologists) and nurses with the aim of providing excellent care to newborns. This position allows for flexibility and seeks strong experience and leadership qualities. Our daily census is very manageable and allows for day-to-day flexibility for a strong and experienced candidate. The role requires the ability to practice independently, with ample remote support from experienced MDs. Schedule: Days: 7 days on - 7 days off – there is a potential for this model to be adjusted based on candidate experience 7am-7pm – there is overnight call covered by other providers Fulltime and Per Diem openings!
