In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Float Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and clerical support to primary care, surgical and specialty physician practices. The Float Certified Medical Assistant is able to demonstrate the knowledge, ability, and skills necessary to safely administer medications in the ambulatory care setting. Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits on each patient. Collects out-of-pocket liabilities from patients upfront and applies and reconciles daily point-of-service cash reports.
