Assisted Living Medication aide -PRN

The Assisted Living Medication Aide is responsible for supporting the health, safety, and daily needs of residents in a compassionate and respectful manner. This position assists with medication administration and resident care according to facility policies, physician orders, and applicable regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with medication administration and documentation as permitted by training, certification, and facility policy. Follow physician orders and the resident's medication profile/MAR. Report medication concerns, changes in condition, refusals, or possible adverse reactions to the appropriate nurse or supervisor. Maintain accurate and timely medication documentation. Assist with medication refills, medication cart organization, and inventory as assigned. Follow proper medication storage, security, infection control, and safety procedures. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other personal care needs. Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance. Observe residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition and report concerns promptly. Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. Communicate professionally with residents, families, coworkers, nurses, hospice providers, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. Participate in required training, in-services, meetings, and emergency procedures. Perform other resident-care duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Medication Aide Certificate preferred, but not required. Assisted living, long-term care, caregiving, CNA, or medication-related experience preferred. Must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team. Must demonstrate compassion, patience, professionalism, and good communication skills. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately complete required documentation. Must meet all facility hiring requirements, including required background checks and health screenings. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical duties necessary to assist residents with daily care. Must be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and assist with resident transfers and mobility as appropriate. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Corrected visual and hearing acuity required.
