How you make a difference The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the health care delivery system within their assigned nursing unit. They collect health status data, diagnose patients, set goals, plan and implement care, and evaluate patient progress. The Nurse Supervisor also provides patient education and ensures that ancillary personnel are qualified to perform the services they provide. Key Responsibilities Review and ensure compliance of nursing plans, medical records, and referrals with policies and procedures. Monitor and facilitate progressive patient care through team approach and patient education. Assist DON in maintaining clinical skills of registered nurses and ensuring nursing actions are within scope of licensure. Identify and address potential problems, establish priorities, and propose corrective actions. Maintain unit cleanliness and coordinate patient care with other departments, while ensuring appropriate stock levels of medical supplies and equipment maintenance. Additional Details -Candidate must be a RN. -This is a supervisor position/with on-call required. -Candidate must be willing to travel to Lexington, KY. Qualifications & Requirements Education Successful graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Experience Prefer a minimum of one-year clinical experience Licenses/Certifications Must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the State of employment. Monitor and report on nursing incidents and communicable diseases, and assess policies and procedures as needed. How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary. Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed. Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary. Additional Details 0.9 FTE RN Nights-3 shifts weekly. 1830-0700 Rotating weekend rotating holiday Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
