Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications. MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION An Associates Degree in Nursing. Equivalent knowledge, experience, education, or training may be substituted for education. Must have participated in 30 hours every 2 years continuing education in nursing in general, 16 of which are in the specific area of practice. Minimum Experience Qualification Specific experience may be required for each work area. MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION Current registered nurse license in the State of Alaska. Current Basic Life Support card required. All other certifications as required for specific work area : New Employees must obtain the required certifications within six months of hire; New graduates must obtain the required certifications within 18 months of hire; Contract and MOA employees must come to us with the required training completed as outlined in their individual contracts/MOAs, and must be licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Alaska and remain active with all annual licensing requirements. Preferred Education Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Preferred Certification Qualification National certification is preferred. Additional Requirements Depending on the needs of the organization , some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain additional certifications or training in one or more specialty areas.
