Qualifications Job Requirements: 1. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Arkansas. 2. Current CPR/BLS and Handle with Care certifications (offered onsite). 3. Preferred two years of psychiatric experience. 4. Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) preferred. 5. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Position Purpose: This position functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the Nursing Department. The Nursing Supervisor is an accomplished nursing leader who is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily needs of the Nursing Department to include supervising and coordinating activities of nursing personnel to maintain continuity of patient care on assigned shift. The position provides an administrative role in the absence of the CNO. Summary We are seeking a skilled Utilization Review Nurse to conduct prior authorization, prospective, concurrent, and retrospective reviews for medical necessity and appropriateness of services, following clinical criteria, coverage policies, and contract guidelines. This involves reviewing medical documentation, accurately documenting findings, and ensuring policy compliance. Your role in our mission Review admissions, procedures, services, and supplies for medical necessity and appropriateness, meeting quality and production goals. Use clinical criteria for decision-making, referring complex cases to Medical Directors when needed. Engage with providers to gather clinical information, apply guidelines, and make determinations. Document findings and rationale in medical management systems. Assist in training new nurses, provide feedback, and stay updated on clinical guidelines. Maintain RN license and meet continuing education requirements. What we're looking for Active RN license. 3+ years of inpatient clinical experience. 1+ year in prior authorization reviews using InterQual or MCG. Strong written communication skills in a fast-paced setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications. What you should expect in this role Home-based position. High-speed internet and a distraction-free workspace required. Core hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET, with potential for extended hours. Occasional travel (up to 10%) based on business needs. This position is for pipeline purposes, and we welcome applications on an ongoing basis. The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. How you make a difference The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for managing and supervising the nursing staff and operations of the facility to ensure that patients receive appropriate healthcare services. They work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing (DON) and other members of the healthcare team to oversee and implement nursing policies and procedures. The ADON also ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff. Key Responsibilities Supervises nursing staff, including performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary action. Evaluates patient care quality and implements improvement initiatives, collaborating with Nurse Managers and DON. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and organization policies and procedures. Participates in policy and procedure development and hospital-wide employee orientations. Provides professional nursing care as needed to respond to workload demands or staffing shortages. Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field. Master’s degree preferred Experience Three (3) years’ experience in psychiatric inpatient setting with an additional two (2) years of supervisory experience. Two (2) years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working exclusively with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or multiple disabilities. Regulatory agency knowledge including The Joint Commission, DHSS, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services is preferred.
