Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address identified patient needs and goals. Administer medications accurately and appropriately as ordered, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as necessary. Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Provide patient and family education about the care plan, medications, procedures, and other relevant information to ensure understanding and compliance. Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries. Monitor patient lab work for trends and report abnormal results for necessary actions. Document all pertinent patient care information accurately and timely in the patient's medical record. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes. [Required] Equipment use to stabilize and monitor patients (IV insertion, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley, chest tubes, hemodynamics monitoring), including electronic medical record and automated dispensing medication system (pyxis). [Required] Proficient clinical skills, critical thinking skills, and strong communication skills. [Required] Commitment to hourly patient rounding and EKG interpretation class.
