JOB DESCRIPTION HealthPartners North Suburban Family Physicians has an exciting opportunity for a Triage RN to join our team! This .80 fte position will be based at our Lino Lakes clinic with potential for coverage at our Roseville or Hugoclinics. This position will work in clinic Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday days (start time between 7:45am – 8:30am and end time between 4:15pm – 5pm). This position provides triage support for our clinic at the North Suburban Family Physicians clinics by using protocols embedded in the electronic medical record and a variety of resources including standing orders and protocols. This position also includes occasionally working with patients that have questions or needs once on-site . In addition, this role provides comprehensive assessments to establish and evaluate a plan of care and address changes in a patient’s condition, delegates nursing tasks when appropriate and provides supervision and monitoring of function or activity, creates and implements dynamic teaching plans based upon identified patient need and acts as a resource for other staff. Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current RN licensure in Minnesota Current RN licensure in Wisconsin (within two months of hire) Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable. Strongly demonstrated written and oral communication skills Preferred Qualifications: One-year full-time employment as an RN Triage or Care Management experience within the last three years Nursing Process: Accountabilities include the following: Nursing assessment is accomplished through interviewing, observation, and/or nursing procedures. Registered Nurse - NICU (0.9 FTE, Day/ Night rotating shift) Relocation assistance available. No pediatrics experience? No problem! If you have experience working with adult populations, we will provide training on working with pediatric patients and their families while leveraging the adult RN experience you already have. We will personalize an orientation just for you to set you up for success in the pediatric specialty you are hired for. Day/ Night rotating shift will be 6 weeks Days, 6 weeks Nights. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 32-bed quaternary care unit and the only Level IV NICU in Washington that receives referrals from four states: Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho (WAMI). Patients in the NICU are neonates up to 50 weeks post-gestational age. It is unique from a traditional NICU as many of the patients have congenital diagnoses requiring specialized pre-operative surgical and postoperative surgical care. Critically ill neonates with complex medical issues are also cared for in this unit. Specialized care provided includes ECMO/ECLS, cooling, in-room surgical procedures, high frequency oscillatory ventilation, use of inhaled nitric oxide, etc. As an integral member of the Health Care Team, the RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children's policies/procedures and guidelines of care. Responsible for providing safe, family centered patient care. Using the Nursing Care Process, the RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in a collaborative method with the patient and patient's family, significant others, and members of the health care team. May be required to provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code.
