We accept Part time nurses if you have the willingness to work a minium of 30 visits per month! OASIS Experienced Registered Nurse preferred! LPN Skilled Visits also available, working under the RN! With your Nursing Knowledge and Task Skills, every day is new and different. We make a real difference in the health and safety of our patients. Wound Care, including Wound Vacs, Drains, Tubes, All Ostomies, Traches, Catheters, Infusions and even LVADs. We will train you to bring your skills up to par as needed. Getting to know your patients, doing one on one education with them and their caregivers, coordination with all of the members of the Home Health Team - it's a holistic and patient driven approach that we just don't see in facilities. Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Minimum one (1) year of Home Health nursing experience preferred Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide care to and communicate with all ages of the population Updated Tuberculin (TB) test and current CPR certification required Clear Criminal History/Drug Screen Compassionate and caring demeanor, with a professional presentation at all times Ability to travel within service area of AdvisaCare (approximately a 30 mile radius from your home) Critical thinking, task competence and the ability to think on your feet is needed. Executing medical regimens and nursing interventions as appropriate for the setting and their competency. Patient health counseling and instruction, including meeting with families and caregivers. Medication reconciliation, management, patient compliance, inventory, education. Operating medical equipment. Maintaining medical supplies, inventory, and disposal. Ensures regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines. The position may include triage of calls for urgent appointments, referrals for patient consults and testing, insurance pre-certification, and documentation. May use general office skills including keyboarding, office computer software, filing, answering telephones, email, faxing, copying. Excellent customer service skills are needed for interacting with patients, families, and caregivers. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: RN with a current nursing license in state of practice Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current BLS certification through American Heart Association valid for at least 90 days after start date 1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferred Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state, federal requirements Must be able to interpret and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of Proactive MD Work Environment & Physical Requirements This job primarily operates in a medical office environment and is required to interact with patients for the majority of the workday. The physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job are: Effective communication, mobility, ability to operate office equipment and travel intermittently throughout the day. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at their work area for prolonged periods of time. Employee will occasionally be required to lift office products and supplies up to 20-30 pounds. POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This role is considered a PRN (as needed), non-exempt position. Evening and weekend work may be required depending on the schedule of the individual health and wellness center.
