UPMC Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is hiring a full-time OP Nurse Coordinator to join their team at Children's Hospital. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position with the hours of 8am to 4pm. No evenings or weekends! The OP Nurse Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with complex liver disease. This position will assist the provider in clinic 1 day per week, triage patients, coordinate procedures, and follow up care. This position serves as a central point of contact for patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams, ensuring seamless coordination across clinical services. A key strength of the Hepatology Coordinator role is the opportunity to foster long-term, trusting relationships with a dedicated patient population. Teaches the patient and family/caregiver self-care techniques as appropriate. Provides medication, diet and other instructions as ordered by the physician and recognizes and utilizes opportunities for health counseling with patients and families/caregivers. Works in concert with the interdisciplinary group. 7. Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient. 8.
