Current license to practice nursing in the state of Colorado (or eligible to receive or renew). Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred. One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing, preferred. Ability to provide therapeutic care to patients with a variety of mental health needs. Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management. Current CPR BLS certification through American Heart Association, or ability to learn, this training is provided during training period.
