Job Summary GroupB12 West Mott is a 32-bed pediatric medical-surgical unit, with an age range from infant to young adult. The primary services include orthopedic surgery, trauma, rehabilitation, nephrology, urology, kidney transplant, neurology, neurosurgery, and endocrinology. Up to 10 beds on the unit can be utilized for the care of stable pediatric patients requiring mechanical ventilation. This position is a 12-week internship program which prepares the new Graduate Nurse for a Registered Nurse position on a general care pediatric unit. Orientation includes a combination of educational sessions and precepted bedside clinical experience. A two (2) year commitment with a minimum of 30 hours/week (0.75 FTR) is required for candidates hired through the internship program. Education will be provided in a group and unit-based settings.
