Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Tele Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours, Days Supportive leadership team, with Nursing Assistants to assist Intensivists and NP’s work alongside RNs during shifts, Respiratory Therapy available at night Extra incentives available for picking up additional shifts Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Overview The Primary Care Clinic provides a pediatric medical home for children of the Kansas City metro area. Our care team provides high-quality primary care for children from birth through adolescence. The primary care team works with medical specialists, social workers, clinical service coordinators, case managers, registered dietitians and allied health providers to create care plans to meet each patient’s unique health care needs. Registered nurses provide illness management and health promotion for patients and families who require hospital/outpatient care. Registered staff nurses utilize the nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age appropriate nursing care for their assigned patients. Registered staff nurses provide patient and family education and advocate for their needs. Registered nurses coordinate patient care with nonprofessional personnel, as necessary. Qualifications Associate's Degree ADN Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013. Nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date. The pay range for this job begins at $31.00/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
