Your Role on the Team Position Summary The Trauma Nurse Coordinator is an experienced registered nurse who is accountable for the effective clinical care coordination of trauma patients and their families/caregivers to eliminate barriers to timely care, facilitate seamless care transitions and increase patient and provider satisfaction. The Trauma Nurse Coordinator is the front-line point of contact for the patient to proactively identify needs and ensure trauma patients have access to emotional support and clinical guidance throughout their care within the complex UCI Health system. Triages and responds or refers inquiries appropriately including Identifying and resolving delays and obstacles and developing and implementing solutions as needed. Works with Trauma Medical Director (TMD) /and Trauma Program Manager (TPM) for the development and growth of the program. Provides nursing services and other responsibilities as assigned.
