Care delivery and coordination of patient and family care begins with the initial contact with the health care system and may continue across the continuum. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. License/Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine. Experience: As this is an entry-level position, experience as an RN is not required. Basic knowledge of the research base, theory, practices, principles, and processes of professional nursing. This team specializes in the care of patients with a wide range of oncologic diagnoses, including prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancers; melanoma; cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and Merkel cell carcinoma; breast cancer; and upper and lower gastrointestinal malignancies. Upper and lower GI diagnoses treated by this team include gastric, small bowel, colon, rectal, anal, pancreatic, and hepatocellular cancers, as well as cholangiocarcinoma, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), and neuroendocrine tumors. The Triage RN plays a key role in managing and coordinating patient care and treatment. This position collaborates closely with members of the multidisciplinary team, including Medical Assistants (MAs), Clinical Team Assistants (CTAs), Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), attending physicians, IV Therapy team members, authorization specialists, and NorDx laboratory staff, among others. This role supports timely triage, care coordination, and communication across the care team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered oncology care. Experience in both oncology and triage nursing is strongly preferred for this role. However, candidates with triage experience in other specialties will also be considered. Unique to Bean 5, the 8 bed IMC includes our Assisted Ventilator Unit. The patient population on Bean 5 is vast and includes specialties of acute on chronic states, respiratory failure, complex vascular, general surgical and neuroscience conditions, sepsis and multisystem organ failure. RN’s providing care in the Bean 5 IMC/AVUdemonstrate astute assessment and critical thinking skills, as patients in IMC may have multi-system issues that require continuous monitoring, medication drips, frequent interventions, and higher level respiratory support.Within our Assisted Ventilation Unit (AVU) patients may be requiring acute and/or chronic ventilator support. This position offers a sign on bonus as well as relocation reimbursement, with flexible schedule, no weekends, on call, or major holidays. We are looking for a Registered nurse who would ideally hold a BSN as well as 2-3 years of nursing and leadership experience. We are looking to grow our dynamic team with an energetic nurse ready to join a collaborative and encouraging environment. “ Summary The Supervisor – Clinical RN role is responsible for supervising assigned staff within the assigned work areas(s). Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred. License/Certifications: Current State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure to practice in Maine. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Experience: Two years of RN experience required. Experience in area of specialty may be required. Supervisory experience preferred.
