The CVOR RN must have the ability to perform and interpret various cardiac and vascular lab tests. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Examples are gallbladder’s, hernia’s, 24/7 c-section coverage, etc. Our nurses are responsible for on-call coverage that comprises of a 30-minute response time along with approximately 65 hours of being on-call per week. Position Summary Delivers professional and technical nursing care to pediatric (>2 years), adolescent, adult and geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures in collaboration with care directed by the medical staff. Nursing care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation when delivering surgical nursing care.
