Telemetry monitoring is available in 10 of the unit beds when needed. The nursing staff provides caring, individualized attention to all patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with collaborative interdisciplinary team members. Overview The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital is a pediatric facility that consists of several units that meet the diverse needs of pediatric patients: Pediatric unit, Pediatric Intermediate unit (PIMU), Pediatric Kostic Infusion Room (PKIR), and Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU). We provide care for pediatric patients aged 0 to 18 years. We offer subspecialty services through consultation and referral in areas such as Endocrinology, Genetics, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Surgery, Trauma, and Hematology. The Family-centered rounds are conducted daily with an interdisciplinary care team including physicians, professional nursing services, child life specialists, social services, and nutrition support. All our pediatric units are secured with restricted access for staff, with visitors gaining entry via monitored access. All pediatric patients wear security tags to assure their safety. Our facilities include a teen room, a spacious playroom for younger patients, and a family waiting room. Our Pediatric unit and PIMU have 38-bed capacity.
