Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with other nurses, providers, and caring professionals as a team member. Exhibit strong multitasking, decisiveness, and excellent problem-solving skills. Communicate effectively with other disciplines to meet client needs, monitor charts, and implement action plans. Review and adhere to detox protocols. Assist staff during high-volume shifts by prioritizing tasks and organizing unit scheduling. Provide orientation for new nurses as needed. Maintain medical equipment. Conduct medical lectures for clients as required. Administer medications and complete the Medication Administration Record (MAR). Perform necessary lab tests (HCG, urine, BAC, glucometer). Administer IM and SQ medications, including Narcan as needed. Ensure labs are addressed, reviewed, and that physician orders are obtained and transcribed. Follow proper consent procedures. Participate in Performance Improvement Projects. Address staff development needs and ensure records are current. Complete nursing competency evaluations. Adhere to Evidence-Based Practice guidelines. Engage in continued nursing training and attend monthly meetings for professional development. Conduct nursing assessments, create treatment plans, administer medications, monitor vitals, follow detox protocols, and assist medical providers as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Current BLS certification required. Provide medication management services, including psychotropic medication management where applicable based on licensure and scope of practice. Diagnose and treat medical and/or psychiatric conditions in accordance with scope of practice and applicable regulations. Coordinate client care with internal and external healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, specialists, pharmacies, and other treatment providers as appropriate. Support discharge planning and continuity of care efforts, including medication coordination and aftercare recommendations. Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to support cost-effective medication management and completion of medication prior authorizations when needed. Provide education and clinical support to staff regarding medical, psychiatric, behavioral health, and medication-related concerns as appropriate. Participate in treatment team meetings, clinical review meetings, peer review processes, and departmental meetings as required. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with CARF standards, licensing requirements, payer requirements, and organizational policies. This community-based role is ideal for an RN who is passionate about serving adults living with severe and persistent mental illness while helping reduce hospitalizations and improve long-term recovery outcomes. Our ACTT program is often described as a "hospital without walls," delivering intensive behavioral health services directly in the community. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll work alongside psychiatrists, therapists, Qualified Professionals, peer support specialists, and case managers to provide individualized, person-centered care where clients live, work, and thrive.
