Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Job Description The RN - CV assists the Interventional Cardiologist and CV Specialist in providing care for patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and automatic internal cardiac defibrillator implants, peripheral vascular interventions, structural heart disease interventions, special procedures, and other procedures involving the cardiac and vascular systems. Incumbents in this position assist physicians by implementing and performing a cardiac catheterization plan of care using standards of A.O.R.N. aseptic technique, cardiac and peripheral anatomy and physiology, radiographic imaging technique, standards of nursing care, and principles of cardiovascular technology. Position requires multi-campus work and multi-campus call. Position is designated for Saint Luke's East Hospital and Saint Luke's South Hospital and requires a 30 minute, or less, callback response. Position is required to work at all four campuses (Saint Luke's East, Saint Luke's Plaza, Saint Luke's North and Saint Luke's South Hospitals) when required to meet staffing needs. Job Description Looking for an opportunity to be a lead nurse? Saint Luke’s Community Hospitals, a division of Saint Luke's South Hospital, in Kansas are seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for our Roeland Park location. As an ED RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to perform ongoing assessments and provide direct patient care to a variety of acuity levels and conditions. Shift Details: Part Time Days Responsibilities Demonstrate ability to mange care within the established standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the state. Appropriately triage patient and prioritizes needs, displaying a caring and responsive attitude. Initiate care to stabilize patient and assist in managing life support needs by collaborating with physician and clinical staff, demonstrating appropriate admission, discharge and transfer procedures. Collect detailed patient history and symptoms, including vital signs, providing appropriate care in a timely and cost-effective manner. Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established polices and procedures. Report adverse treatments or medications in accordance with current policies and procedures. Prepare patient meals.
