Manager Value Analyst RN 101 Truman Medical Center Job Location University Health Truman Medical Center Kansas City, Missouri Department Corporate Purchasing Position Type Full time Work Schedule 8:00AM - 4:30PM Hours Per Week 40 Job Description The Value Analysis Manager is responsible for identifying supply chain costs through facilitating product standardization, optimizing clinical product utilization, and reducing acquisition cost on applicable medical/surgical products, services and equipment. Responsible for functioning as an effective resource between Materials Management and the UH clinicians to improve the quality of patient care and provide that care in the most cost effective manner. Responsible for facilitating effective outcomes through the TMC team-based value analysis process in collaboration with the Corporate Director Materials Management, Contract Manager and Negotiators. Primary clinical focus includes, but not limited to high-cost, supply-intense areas such as acute care nursing, perioperative services, cardiology, and diagnostic imaging for the following functions: product and technology assessment. consumable product evaluation, selection and standardization supply utilization. benchmarking, monitoring, outcomes management. Provides direct staff management to sourcing specialists. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Health Administration, Nursing, Pharmacy or other Allied Health Profession) RN degree from an accredited institution RN Licensed in the state of Missouri, must maintain active status Three to five years of value analysis/clinical/hospital leadership experience preferred Broad understanding of clinical practices, safety and quality issues Demonstrated successful interaction with various levels of physician, clinician and administrative staff Ability to manage multiple projects, set goals and monitor progress Extensive working knowledge of medical/surgical product usage and application Advanced use of databases, and Microsoft office products Technical skills for use in hospital information systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills Experience in negotiations, problem resolution, and conflict management
