Overview For Inpatient assignment, assists the attending physician in the care and management of patients on Inpatient units within the hospital. Will make frequent bedside visits to assess the status of patients and direct care accordingly. May also see patients in the clinic environment. For Emergency Dept. assignment assists the Emergency Department physicians in the comprehensive medical care of the patient, in the emergency department and the chest pain observation unit and in any role the supervisory physician deems appropriate and consistent with applicable law, hospital regulation and licensure and clinical privileges. The incumbent will consult with the supervisory physician to determine the most appropriate care for patients. Acute Care ARNP or PA Required. For Clinic assignment, under supervision of an attending physician this position will provide diagnostic and therapeutic health care coverage for patients which will include but not be limited to taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, coordinating lab tests, diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and providing assistance to the patient regarding a plan of treatment and education. Other duties may include sharing call hours, phone coverage, and seeing admitted patients within the hospital. For ICU assignment, assists the attending ICU physician in the care and management of patients. Ortho Nurse Navigator

Overview The Ortho Nurse Navigator is responsible for upholding excellence in the provision of nursing clinical care through implementation of evidence-based standards of care. The Ortho Nurse Navigator possesses broad nursing knowledge and clinical expertise in a specialty area. The Ortho Nurse Navigator has oversight of the daily operations of the orthopedic program, acts as a clinical resource throughout the continuum of care, maintains weekly performance tracking and communication to the Orthopedic Program Supervisor and interdisciplinary team as appropriate. Identifies and implements best practices for operations and sharing of knowledge to enhance service and quality of the organization. Develops appropriate education and communication plans with the orthopedic interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and meet program initiatives. Partners with our physicians directly involved in our orthopedic program to improve efficiency, meet program requirements and improve outcomes. Facilitates problem resolution, process improvement and communication flow. Reports to the Orthopedic Program Supervisor. Qualifications Education: - Associate�s Degree (required) - Bachelor�s Degree (preferred) - Master�s Degree (preferred) Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Florida Registered Nurse License (required) - BLS Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. - Special Skills/Qualifications: Effective Communication across multiple disciplines, Relationship Building, Self-Motivated, Strong Organizational Skills - Project Management, Clinical exposure/experience with program patients. Experience with Education, Quality, Disease Management Certification, or Management Experience preferred. - Experience: 2 years clinical service line experience in at least one area of specialty preferred.
