Provides overview of services to be provided during hospitalization to patients, families, payers and referral sources. Notifies payor of admission and expected course of treatment and assigns initial length of stay in accordance with standards of care criteria as outlined in utilization. Tracks data regarding intakes and referral sources. Provides guidelines and instruction to staff regarding program promotion, intake and referral processes. Communicates information about patient referred to rehab unit to appropriate physician. Accepts additional responsibilities and organizes scheduled and unscheduled time.
