Job Description Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse C-VAT (Vascular Access Team) demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge applicable to the specialty practice of vascular access nursing. Serves in two large Magnet Recognized tertiary academic medical centers with multiple hospital campuses (University Hospital, East Campus Hospital, Surgical Hospital, Children's Hospital) and ambulatory departments. Works under the collaborative direction and leadership of a medical director and nursing leadership team. Educates patients regarding procedure and verifies informed consent is completed prior to procedure. Serves as a role model in patient care delivery methods, communication and documentation.
