Assist the surgical team in safely preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients to ensure comfort, optimal surgical access, and maintained sterile boundaries. Anticipate the surgeon's needs by efficiently handing over required instruments, medications, and supplies during the procedure to maintain surgical momentum. Maintain a highly organized sterile field and continuously track, count, and monitor all instruments and supplies throughout the procedure to prevent retained foreign objects. Strictly adhere to aseptic techniques to facilitate the overall safety, efficiency, and successful outcome of each surgical intervention. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required. One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
