Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or a Physician Assistant (PA) for the Department of Neurosurgery at UHS Wilson Medical Center. The candidate will join a team of 5 Neurosurgeons and 7 APPs. The Hospital is a Level II trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with 450 beds. The practice is a high functioning practice performing 1,200 + cases/year with excellent hospital support and a wide referral network spanning a 120 mile radius. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Neurosurgery Annual Compensation Range: $143,100 - $167,000 ----- Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Neurosurgery or Spine Surgery for this new role open due to department growth. This position provides health care services to patients under the direction and responsibility of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Administers and orders diagnostic test and interprets the test results for deviations from normal. Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, suturing and wound care, and managing infection. Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care. Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance. Preference for previous Neurosurgery or Spine Surgery experience. Preferred credentials are ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support). Will provide courses upon employment. Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California , is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission.
