Comply and perform within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Ensure economic utilization of supplies and ensure that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner. Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients such as cardiac arrest. Participate in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment. Overview DCH Health System is proud to offer Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Service at both our Regional and Northport Campuses. We specialize in the critical care of neonates and infants in our 21 bed unit at DCH Regional and 18 bed unit at Northport Medical Center. Our team of Neonatologists , Neonatal nurse practitioners, Neonatal nursing staff, NICU dedicated Respiratory Therapist, and NICU dedicated pharmacist provide in house care 24-7. We support a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care that also includes speech therapist, lactation consultants, child life therapists, and social workers. Our RN staff are especially skilled in the assessment and treatment of infants with complex, multisystem dysfunction. Our nurse to patient ratio is usually 1:2 or 1:3 depending on the acuity of the patient. They practice family-centered rounding to provide support and education so that families understand the needs for their baby. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements: Current Texas nursing license or compact license. One year full time experience in an acute care setting. RQI BLS and ACLS required BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
