As a Sweet Dreams STNA You Will: (includes but not limited to) Spend quality one on one time with patients and their families to support everyday needs Care for hospice patients by providing paths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen as often as needed Provide bedtime care including personal hygiene regimens as required Provide aroma therapy and gentle touch Provide lotion rubs to hands and feet Perform personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately. Provide patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality. Reports suspected abandonment, abuse, financial exploitation, or neglect of a person in violation of RCW 74.34.020 or 26.44.030 to the department of social and health services and the proper law enforcement agency. Reports must be submitted immediately when the reporting person has reasonable cause to believe that abandonment, abuse, financial exploitation, or neglect of a vulnerable adult has occurred.
