Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing (DON) and Clinical Director in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding nursing staff in delivering high-quality, compassionate hospice care. This role requires a balance of leadership, clinical expertise, and organizational skills.

 

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday 8:30A-4:30P

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily clinical operations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, ensuring adherence to hospice standards of care.
  • Oversee patient assessments, care planning, and care delivery to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Participate in staff training, education, and professional development initiatives.
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and coordination of interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation regulations.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff, patients, and families.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in audits/reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey (required).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year hospice REQUIRED.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

$10,000 signing BONUS! The Patient Care Manager is responsible for the coordination of all clinical services (Planning, organizing, directing and supervising) provided to the hospice patient. The Patient Care Manager is a member of the interdisciplinary team. This position oversees the day to day clinical operation of hospice in conformance with the organization's mission, philosophy and goals and ensures that services conform to all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Staff Nurse Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Patient Care Manager Job Summary: As a Staff Nurse, you will provide compassionate nursing care to terminally ill hospice patients and support their families through end-of-life care and bereavement. As a hospice Registered Nurse Case manager, you will perform ongoing patient assessments, maintaining thorough and diligent notes and records regarding the effectiveness of each patient's care plan.
