Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with daily nursing operations management

  • Supervise, mentor, and hold nursing staff accountable to maintain high standards of resident care

  • Address and escalate staff concerns or grievances appropriately and timely

  • Monitor staffing levels and optimize scheduling to minimize overtime and agency usage

  • Conduct staff evaluations, provide coaching, and manage disciplinary processes as needed

  • Promote teamwork and a positive, collaborative work environment throughout the unit

  • Participate in quality assurance programs, budget planning, and internal committees

  • Oversee MDS completion and collaborate with families and care teams on discharge planning

  • Ensure compassionate, individualized care for residents and their families

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills

  • Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking abilities
