The Pavilion at vestal is looking for Home Health Aides or Personal Care Aides Please see below $19.05/HR POSITION DESCRIPTION Home Health Aide (HHA) Qualifications: 1. HHA Must have a current and valid HHA Certificate 2. HHA Must be at least 18 years of age 3. HHA Must be able to read, understand, and follow resident care plans Reports to: Administrator, Administrator-In-Charge, Supervisor-In-Charge and/or RN Home Health Aide (HHA) Responsibilities: Administers medications and treatments per physician order and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and completes associated documentation. Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living and personal care as needed according to care plan. Assure that residents are dressed appropriately when in living areas of the home or outside the building. Assist and teach the residents skills in self-help in activities and daily living to maximize their independence and freedom of movement. Measures and records vital signs as ordered by provider or as directed by nurse. Assist a self-directing resident in performing maintenance exercise programs Assist a self-directing resident with use of oxygen equipment Assist a self-directing resident with the changing an ostomy or urinary diversion appliance or dressing when the ostomy is mature and stable Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, charts, reports, etc., and submit these as may be required. Report any complaints or grievances made by residents to the Supervisor or Administrator. Participate and cooperate with any facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services. Provide personal assistance as needed, requested, or required. Respond to call bells or other signaling calls. Assist the Activities Coordinator in carrying out planned activities.
