LPN School Contract

Make a meaningful impact in a student's life by providing dedicated 1:1 support in a welcoming elementary school environment near Kent, WA. This contract opportunity is ideal for LPNs passionate about pediatric care and ready to support a 7-year-old female student with complex medical needs throughout her school day.

Your day will begin by accompanying the student on her bus ride, ensuring her safety from pick-up at 9:00 am through drop-off at 4:21 pm. The student uses an adaptive stroller and requires gentle lifting support for transfers, largely handled by a two-person team. Experience with G-tube feedings and tracheostomy care is essential, as you will be responsible for these daily medical needs. The student is completely non-verbal—while she has access to an eye-gaze AAC device, it’s not yet used functionally, so attentive, compassionate communication is key.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license (Washington state)
  • Previous experience supporting pediatric patients in a school or similar setting
  • Expertise with G-tube and trach care
  • Comfortable with lifting/support during transfers and using adaptive equipment
  • Patience and sensitivity supporting non-verbal children
  • Commitment to safety protocols during bus transportation

Core Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 medical support and personal care throughout the school day
  • Assisting safely with transfers, diapering, and use of mobility equipment
  • Administering tube feedings and trach management
  • Monitoring and documenting health status and daily care
  • Collaborating with school staff and following individualized care plans

You’ll find this setting both rewarding and collaborative, surrounded by professionals dedicated to each child’s well-being. Step into a role where your clinical skills and compassionate approach truly matter.

Ready to take the next step in your healthcare career with a role that offers both challenge and fulfillment? Apply today—your expertise can transform a school day for a child who depends on your care!

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.43 to $47.43. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
