Bring your nursing expertise and compassion to schools as a Registered Nurse, supporting students throughout a dynamic district in the Kansas City area. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to make a direct impact across K-12 environments, including exciting 1:1 assignments. The role begins as soon as possible, runs through May 22, and continues for the Extended School Year (June 125), Monday through Thursday.

Youll float between schools, providing essential care in health rooms, potentially visiting multiple locations daily, accompanying students on field trips, and serving grades PreK-12. After two weeks of training alongside a skilled team member, youll operate independently, running your own health room and ensuring the well-being of every child you encounter. Schedule flexibility is essential; your workday may start as early as 7AM or as late as 9AM, with schedules shifting week-to-week and sometimes day-to-day. Communication and adaptability are your superpowers.

What We're Looking For:

Active RN license in Missouri
Prior pediatric experience
School nursing background strongly preferred
Proficiency with technology and electronic health charting
Comfort with managing multiple priorities in a school environment
Strong communication and quick problem-solving skills
Willingness to work across multiple grades and sites

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver direct student health care and medication administration
Manage health rooms autonomously
Respond to emergencies and provide health education
Collaborate with school personnel and families
Accompany students and staff on field trips as needed
Maintain accurate digital documentation
