Assistant Director of Nursing (RN)

A healthcare organization in the Glens Falls area is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support nursing leadership and help oversee daily clinical operations. This role works closely with the nursing leadership team to maintain quality care standards, support staff development, and ensure efficient department operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist with oversight of nursing department operations and clinical services
Support quality assurance, compliance, and patient care initiatives
Conduct routine clinical and skin integrity rounds
Help coordinate staffing and daily nursing assignments
Assist with onboarding, training, and supervision of nursing staff
Monitor documentation accuracy and timely completion of records
Support infection prevention and control processes
Maintain effective communication across clinical teams and departments
Participate in leadership on-call rotation as needed
Adapt to changing operational and patient care needs

Qualifications:

Active RN license in New York State
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of clinical operations, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance
Ability to lead staff and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Flexible schedule availability required
