Desired Qualifications:

  • Active LPN/LVN license with prior school-based or pediatric experience
  • Comfort working 1:1 with medically fragile students aged 422
  • Proficient in direct medical care, including gastronomy, bladder cauterization, diabetes management (insulin care, CGM, carb counting), seizure response, and medication administration (epi pens, Benadryl, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ASD and developmental delays
  • Confidence in managing both hypo- and hyperglycemia scenarios
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, connecting with parents, and familiarizing yourself with students individual needs
  • Ability to conduct staff training on health plans and procedures
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, though not mandatory
  • Willingness to rotate between campuses as an itinerant nurse

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review and update seizure and health management plans
  • Train staff members in executing health-related procedures
  • Serve as the point of contact for urgent health events during the school day
